therapy has been life-changing for me, but I know how hard it can be to access for many people. i also know how hard it can be to talk about mental health struggles. so, i am raising money for Bigger Than the Trail, which uses trail running as a platform to 1) engage communities in discussing mental health, and 2) provide access to free educational support and counselling therapy, for those in need of mental health care. these efforts help people overcome the biggest barriers to seeking help: shame, stigma, and financial burden.
GET TICKETS HERE. then high-five yourself for saving and positively changing lives.

Hi! I'm Dr. Claire Wells. I'm a Calgary-based chiropractor, trail runner, and lululemon store ambassador. I've struggled with my own mental health since I was in high school, which is why I am passionate about mental health advocacy. The way I feel most connected to others is through shared experiences in nature, so when I discovered Bigger Than the Trail, I knew I had to get involved.
My intention with T+T is to unite the YYC running and trail running communities while shining light on mental health. The goal is to raise money for Bigger Than the Trail, while doing things we love! This charity provides access to counselling therapy for those in need, who cannot afford it on their own.
The intention is movement and connection. We will have running, yoga, guided meditation, food, speakers, prizes, and swag bags! All ages and abilities are welcome. All we ask is that you bring a smile and your authentic self.
